Self-awareness simply won't absolve you of your flaws.

But in order to reflect, don't you at first need to pause? 

When you perceive an effect, don't you follow up on the cause? 

Do you make jokes about yourself, just for the applause, 

or is that voice inside your head mourning what you lost. 

We aren't stuck the way we are, but change comes at a cost - 

A price that precious few would pay: everything you've got.
