A Freely Translated Arabic Poem:

To the one who has come knocking at the door,

Do be gentle.

The people of this abode won't be returning.

They ve parted each other and have gone their separate ways.

Almost as if they never got along once, as if they  were never close to each other.

Do spare your hand the trouble.

For there's nobody home.

Don't expect a response.

The people who once adored each other have left.

And do be gentle on the house.

Don't awaken its sleeping wounds.

For it too has a soul,

Just like people do.
