Silent Conflagration
We didn't smell it in the air
We never saw the spark
The House Caught Fire in the middle of the night,
When moments ago it was pitch dark.
A Furious sound that woke us up.
We got out just in time.
The Flames behind us leapt up high,
And We watched the fire climb.
No water hose, no phone to call,
Meanwhile the flames would twist and turn
If there's nothing you can do to put the fire out
Might as well enjoy watching it burn.
So We stood right there, our eyes ablaze,
Our skins aglow in heat.
Then sat in a row and watched the show
and told everyone who came to take a seat.
No deeper meaning to be gleamed,
no profound lesson learned.
If there's nothing you can do to put the fire out
Might as well enjoy watching it burn
