Sane Asylum

Let's start a fire,

For old times sake.

Let's start a fire in ways we've never done before.

I'll carry fuel, you carry gasoline.

We'll pick a spot and set up a tent.

And when the clouds disappear and the stars emerge, we'll gather round beneath that heavenly tapestry and tell stories,

Of all the good times and the bad times.

Let's celebrate memories that bleed and wounds that won't heal.

Let's celebrate a violent past that keeps resurfacing.

Let's celebrate all the ridiculous things we cried about as kids.

Let's rehash old fights over our little worlds and drama that never ends.

Let's celebrate years of estrangement, and bitter resentment that still remains.

Let's dig up graves and regurgitate spiteful words that never ceased eating you up inside.

Let's play the blame game, we're pros at it.

We're vultures and thieves, this is our feast. We've devoured worse than carcass,  robbed each other of time.

This nightmarish banquet is where we dine.

Lighten up, a part of you needs to die before you can live a little.
